Anshal has over 25 years of experience in commercialization and early-stage support, having co-founded Polaris Business Partners (now a part of IQVIA) and held positions in field sales and leadership at Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer. She now holds the role of CEO at Purohit Navigation, the sister company to Purohit Ventures, where for the past 25+ years she has partnered with many startups to drive commercial success. In 2020, Anshal founded Purohit Ventures, a behavior-based investment firm that acts as a strategic partner to early-stage portfolio companies with cash, hybrid, and time-as-currency investment models.

With a PhD in psychometrics, experience as a professor of statistics at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, and a role as the founding partner and board chair of Purohit Navigation, her unique approach and unparalleled impact have been recognized throughout the industry for over 35 years.

For over 30 years, Kim has demonstrated her expertise across innumerable areas of business. In her role as CFO of Purohit Ventures’ sister company, Purohit Navigation, she built the accounting and IT departments from the ground up. She now brings this invaluable operational experience to Purohit Ventures, where she manages everything from compliance to financial reporting and controllership and is responsible for the financial management of our portfolio and the oversight of portfolio contracting.

Kim has an encyclopedic understanding of process and a passion for seeing everyone win. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in finding innovative ways to partner with clients to set both parties up for success. Kim has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

As Chief Portfolio Strategist, Jen is responsible for the Purohit Ventures investment thesis and oversees all critical decision making around our portfolio—from assessing potential fit to partnering on go-forward planning for our portfolio companies. Her deep understanding of commercialization success and early-stage support is grounded in 15+ years working in healthcare strategy and communications, including her role as Vice President of Strategic Planning at Purohit Navigation.

Jen’s vision and strategic background were integral in the structuring and build-out of Purohit Navigation’s strategy practice, and she has played a key role in the training of its Analytics, Content Strategy, and Strategic Planning Teams. Jen leverages her research background, clinical lab expertise, and experience in healthcare strategy and communications to bring the guidance and executional know-how that helps our clients succeed.

Jen earned a master’s degree in Structural Proteomics at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland and a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Virginia.
